No usernames, no passwords

No user-level logging
We don't log anything at the individual level. Only aggregate, behavioral signals are used to improve the product, keeping the platform anonymous. Even your connection balances are never saved on our side.

An encrypted key file, not an account
Instead of signing up, Synthesis issues you a key file secured with AES-256 encryption and a password only you set. That file contains the token that gives you access to the service. There's no email, no username, and nothing tied to your identity on any server.
Nothing saved on our servers
Your key file is the only place your connections and settings exist. We don't hold a copy, so there's nothing to leak, sell, or hand over. Even in the event of a breach, there's simply nothing on our side to take.
Read-only by design
Wallet addresses are public data. Exchange connections only ever use a read-only API key with no withdrawal or trading permission, so Synthesis can never move funds even if it wanted to.
Verified without ever being stored
Your access token is validated cryptographically in a stateless manner, so we never need to save it. The tradeoff is intentional: if your key file is lost or corrupted, there is no way to recover it. That possibility simply doesn't exist on our side.

Common questions
Do I need to sign up?
No. Synthesis issues you an encrypted key file instead of an account, locked with a password you choose. That file is your gate into the app. There's no email or identity tied to a server, just your file and your password.
Does Synthesis have access to my funds?
No. Wallet addresses are public and read-only by nature. For exchanges, Synthesis only ever asks for a read-only API key. It cannot withdraw, trade, or transfer funds under any circumstance.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device, inside your key file. Synthesis has no user accounts and no backend database that holds your addresses, keys, or balances.
What happens if I lose my key file?
Without it, that setup is gone. There's no server-side account to recover it from, which is why downloading your encrypted key file right after setup matters. Keep it, and its password, safe.
